Volunteer Chaplains – Prayer Room - Chapel
It is the desire of McNairy Regional Hospital to address both your physical and spiritual needs through a safe environment, the medical care of our physicians and staff, and the hospital chaplain’s organization.
During times of illness, many patients & families are comforted by visits from their chosen faith affiliated minister. McNairy Regional Hospital also offers spiritual counseling through our diverse group of Volunteer Chaplains. They are available to minister to our patients & families when requested. Their mission and/or purpose is to assist and comfort our patients and families dealing with emotional and spiritual issues that often accompanies illness or decisions regarding medical care options.
Upon admission you will be asked to choose whether or not you desire a chaplain to visit you during your hospitalization. We do this in order to provide pastoral care to those who desire it and to honor the privacy request of those who do not wish to be contacted. If you wish to receive a chaplain’s visit or you would like to talk with a hospital chaplain, please tell your nurse. He/she will initiate the process to honor your request.
McNairy Regional has a chapel located adjacent to our Medical/Surgical unit on the main floor. This chapel has a Christian Bible, a prayer book for your convenience and is available to you and your family 24-hours-a-day. Christian Bibles are also located in each patient room. May your experience at McNairy Regional Hospital be one of physical healing and spiritual uplifting.
