McNairy Regional Hospital believes visitors are an important part of our patients’ recovery process. Visitation can provide emotional support and a nice deviation for patients. With the increase in safety and security of our patients as well as new privacy standards (see HIPAA guidelines), McNairy Regional Hospital will only provide the room number of a patient for visitation if the patient has not requested that such visits be denied. In addition, you must know the full name of the patient when asking for a room number.
At times, McNairy Regional Hospital may limit the number of visitors allowed at one time in a room or may require that children under a certain age not visit the hospital.
These safety precautions are usually enforced during high census times and/or seasonal periods where additional precautions must be taken. If you have a cold, flu or other transmittable medical condition, please do not visit a patient.
In addition, it is strongly recommended that friends and families do not bring food or beverages to a patient from outside the facility and/or any medications from home. Both could be detrimental to the patient’s progress during their stay with us.
