The miracle of childbirth is a time of excitement and joy, a moment to be shared by your entire family. McNairy Regional OB Department provides a secure, comfortable and nurturing environment for each family during this very special time in your life.

Our department is staffed with trained RNs and LPNs. Our goal is to provide excellent medical and support services in a close-knit atmosphere so that both mother and baby have a happy, healthy and positive experience. While in labor, our moms receive one on one nursing care by a nurse who will also follow her to postpartum to care for her until her time of discharge. Spouses or significant others are encouraged to stay with the patient during the entire hospital stay. Our 400 deliveries a year take place in LDR rooms. We offer different pain relief options including epidurals and intrathecal narcotics.

With the exception of bath or pediatric check time, you are encouraged to have your newborn in your room with you. Breast feeding is encouraged and help or support with nursing is available at all times. Newborn care teaching is offered during your postpartum stay. Hearing screenings are done on all newborns prior to discharge. Our code entry security system will help reassure new parents of their newborn infant's safety. Our internet nursery will allow you to share pictures of your new baby with family members near and far.
